A new era begins in the world of Nintendo tomorrow with the release of the hotly anticipated Switch. The unique platform will attempt to be a home console that you can take with you on the go, blurring the line between Nintendo’s home console and handheld divisions.
So July 6th came and Pokémon Fans rejoiced! The much anticipated Pokémon GO came out for Android and Iphone users for FREE. It was bogged with problems from the get go with the infamous servers are down screen but when players were allowed on people took to the streets in flocks!
When you open the game for the first time, or if you are signed out, you will be prompted to sign up for an account using either a Gmail account or a Pokemon Trainer Club. After you set up your account you can use the same credentials to login back in to the account. When you have completed that you will be greeted by Professor Willow who will give you the standard Pokemon greeting and will ask you your name. Be aware that this name will be your displayed name in game and does get used frequently. So pick a good one! The nicknames are similar to emails or usernames, in that yours has to be unique to you. The nickname pool is growing smaller and smaller so most likely you will need to add some numbers after your name.
Well, that was about the most interesting news I’ve ever woken up to on a Wednesday morning.
Nintendo’s next console, codenamed “NX” is confirmed to be a thing, as per an official statement from Nintendo earlier today. It launches March 2017, but it won’t be shown off at this year’s E3 event.
