Steam Summer Sale Deals, 6/24

Hey there, Geeks!  Another Steam Summer Sale is upon us, so welcome to the first ever Andrew’s Super Zazzy Steam Summer Sale 2016 Extravaganzer Quick Picks-a-Roonie-Roo! Get ready to turn out your wallets!

What’s nice about this particular sale is that it appears these deals don’t run out the following day at 1pm—all the game pages say the prices are good until July 4th!  It might get hard to keep track of all these sales, so every day in the early afternoon, yours truly will slog through the prices to find five of the best deals for you.  Here’s the first list!

Age of Empires II: HD Edition

This one definitely has a lot of bang for your buck.  Age of Empires II: HD Edition is a remake of the original AOE2, and it boats better graphics, better AI, and many new features.  This is a great pickup on the cheap!

Original Price: $19.99                      Sale Price: $2.99

Prison Architect

This is a game I’ve had my eyes on for a while, but I never wanted to pay the relatively steep original price.  With its markdown, this really is a can’t-miss title for anybody who has been a fan of games like Sim City, the Sims, or any other build-and-manage games.

Original Price: $29.99                      Sale Price: $7.49

Metro Redux Bundle

Deals like this are a testament to the popularity of Steam sales.  Nabbing this bundle gets you both remastered Metro games (Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light).  Both games are great First-Person Shooters, and they can also be a great benchmark for your rig—Can it handle these games on the highest settings?

Original Price: $29.98                      Sale Price: $7.49

Stardew Valley

Another game that I’ve been keeping my eye on, this Harvest Moon-type game has been blowing up recently.  If the player reviews are any indication, this game has some Terraria/Civilization-like addiction factors.  I can’t to spend a nice, relaxing evening watering and planting my crops

Original Price: $14.99                      Sale Price: $11.99

For many people (including me), this game came out of nowhere and blew them away. DOOM brings all the classic gore-filled action that you’d expect from its pedigree, but it also has some great updates, such as skill points and multiplayer, including a great map editor and online community.  It looks pretty amazing too!

Original Price: $59.99                      Sale Price: $35.99

That just about does it for today’s top five deals.  What do you think of the sale so far?  Did you notice any sweet deals we should include in tomorrow’s list?  Let us know what you think in the comments!
