Marvel has announced new casting details for the 2017’s “Thor: Ragnarok”.
As previously rumored, Cate Blanchett will play Hela:
Joining her will be Karl Urban (Star Trek), Tessa Thompson (Creed) and Jeff Goldblum (Independence Day: Resurgence, Earth Girls Are Easy) as Skurge, Valkyrie and The Grandmaster, respectively:
It’s speculated that the MCU’s version of Hela may be a combination of the characters Hela and Death from Marvel comics, which would make sense, given Death’s importance in the Infinity War storyline the MCU will soon be adapting.
