The Geekend – 5/2/15

Age. Of. Ultron.

Josiah LeRoyHappy Geekend – couldn’t have come any sooner! It’s off to Regal for The Avengers: Age of Ultron for me. It’s the second most anticipated film of the year for me (uh hello? Star Wars). I plan on catching up on some comics and celebrating Comic Store Day on Saturday. For my gaming plate, I am looking to finish Deadpool back on the 360 and take it from there. Keep your eyes peeled for some fun Star Wars coverage too. May the Fourth be with you.

Lou Mattiuzzo: Heading to the drive in (yes those still exist. God bless WNY) tonight to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. And beyond that…….honestly, does anything else really matter? ASSEMBLE!

Nicholas Ramirez: Age of Ultron and free comic book day – it’s better then Christmas.

Jeff Pawlak: It’s hard for me to top seeing Avengers: Age of Ultron. I managed to catch it Thursday night and it was one of the most fun movie-going experiences I’ve ever had in a theater. From start to finish, I enjoyed every last second of the movie; one of Marvel’s best so far. Otherwise, I’ve got a few things I plan to take care of during my down time. I’m making my way through season 2 of The Legend of Korra, which is proving to be a wonderful sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender. I’m also planning to do something that’s sort of rare for me, and that’s replay a video game. I’ve got my sights set on Bravely Default for the 3DS, an awesome throwback to the turn-based Japanese RPGs of old, but with some modern twists. With the sequel, Bravely Second, just being released in Japan, and hopefully on its way to America, soon, I’ve got the itch to go through the original game one more time and try out a few new things with the game’s immense customization options.

Chris AustinThis will be more of a sports weekend for me, kinda light on the Geek. Of course, I am seeing Avengers tonight and will continue my journey through the never-ending world of Dragon Age. Outside of that, we have the rest of the NFL draft today along with NHL playoffs, the Kentucky Derby, Manchester United vs West Bromich Albion and the big boxing match…. Big weekend in sports!

Did you see The Avengers: Age of Ultron yet? What did you think? Comment below and let us know what you are watching, playing, and enjoying this fine May Geekend!
